This is a story about a three-generation Asian American family’s political differences, a story about a granddaughter and her grandmother.

This piece is extra special to me because my grandma passed away during the making of this film, and I didn’t have a chance to see her one last time or attend the funeral in person.

The grandma in this story said to her granddaughter that she was happy her granddaughter included her in her life. Only now do I understand the weight of those words. I hope you’ll check it out, and get to know our elderly more when there’s still a chance.

About the film: Louie Tan Vital, a young Asian American voter, grapples with the political differences between her progressive views and those of her conservative, Trump-supporting grandmother, Estrella Pada Taong, ahead of the contentious 2020 election
