Julia Chen – Digital Content Editor
Born and raised in the Greater Los Angeles area, Julia Chen is a Chinese-American writer, editor, and arts professional. She is a graduate of Boston University with a bachelor’s degree in English and has gone on to work primarily in the world of nonprofit, Off-Broadway theater (with a focus on marketing and development).
Julia is a finalist in Fiction for Kundiman’s Mentorship Lab and a member of Winter Tangerine’s April 2019 intensive workshop in New York City. Her work can be found in No Tender Fences: An Anthology of Immigrant & First-Generation American Poetry and Honey Literary’s inaugural Winter 2021 issue. Currently, Julia is a project manager for the City of San José and an Assistant Fiction Editor for The Offing. In her off-hours, she’s aspires to be the Miyazaki heroine she knows she can be. Julia also loves traveling, baking, and swing dancing.
