Robin Shoemaker

Robin is a leading energy industry analyst with a long and distinguished career in equity research before retiring in 2017.  Institutional Investor, Fortune magazine, and the Wall Street Journal have recognized Robin for his skills in valuing oil and gas companies, analyzing the leading indicators of energy sector performance, and presenting investors with timely stock recommendations supported by strong fundamental research.  His employers included Lehman Brothers, Bear Stearns, Citigroup, and KeyBanc Capital Markets.

Robin is an Adjunct Professor at Adelphi University’s Robert B. Willumstad School of Business, teaching corporate finance, investment analysis, and equity and fixed-income portfolio management courses.  In addition, he offers consulting services to energy companies seeking to access the debt and equity capital markets.

In 2010 Robin purchased a beautiful Steinway piano, hoping that he could convince students and faculty members from New York’s prestigious music conservatories to offer salon concerts in his apartment on the Upper West Side.  Over time his idea blossomed into a monthly gathering of classical music lovers, outstanding musicians, and opera singers.  The Shoemaker salon concert series has become a part of New York City’s vibrant music scene.
